Auto import fonts to the spritefont object.

The ability to select a TTF OTF WOF font within the sprite font object like the text object, only here it would automatically convert it into a sprite sheet and handle all the spacing.

This would make it incredibly easy to add new fonts without having to use another font-to-bitmap generator software.

We feel this is adequately covered by third-party software. Given we're a small team and have limited resources, we'd prefer not to reimplement existing tools in Construct wherever possible.

Can you direct me to this software then because i'm on mac and the ones i've tried dont work, also setting up all the special construct settings like font spacing etc is a real nightmare. It's another example i feel of you not realising the difficulties being faced because you ironically dont spend your time actually use your software to make games.

I think this request is not to be underestimated. For people on Mac and who are doing low res games, making Spritefonts takes a HUGE amount of time. The problem is, that there are no tools out there that generate any sort of character spacing sheet easily implementable into JSON. There is one app by a community member which is available on the forums, but it doesn't support aliased font output which, naturally, is crucial for Low res games since anti-aliasing the fonts makes them far too blurry. I still would think this would be an awesome addition and a big time saver as there is almost no way around of building spritefonts manually in an image editor which takes hours.
