Handling text in the past has been a bit complex if not impossible. For example selecting a specific word in a text object and applying different styles (italic, different colours) or being more interactive (touch specific words in the same text object to trigger different events). Other game engines have already added features like that, it would be great if we could see something similar with C3 in the future.
We'd like to introduce features to make rich text/alternate styling possible in both the Text and SpriteFont objects. However this is something we will look in to once the new C3 runtime is in place.
