Scene graph attach to image point

With the scene graph positioning itself to replace the pin behavior, there is a feature of the pin behavior that is currently missing from the scene graph. and that is being able to pin to image points.

the current pin behavior works well for animation and having a child object follow the image points per frame of the animation. using a scene graph when adding a child there is no way to specify an image point as the anchor point.

That is true for the initial image point, but if you have an animation where the position of the image point changes over several frames the attached object does not follow.

Unlike the pin action, the attached object will move to the position of the image point across multiple frames

The scene graph uses the current position when attaching objects. So isn't this already possible by first positioning the object at an image point, then attaching it?
